GreenScape North Shore ("we," "our," or "us") operates a digital marketplace platform that connects homeowners ("customers") with independent landscaping professionals ("vendors") in the North Shore area of Illinois. We facilitate introductions between customers and vendors but do not provide landscaping services directly.

2. How Our Platform Works

• Customers submit project requests through our platform
• We match customers with qualified local landscaping professionals
• Vendors contact customers directly to provide quotes and services
• All work agreements are made directly between customers and vendors
• GreenScape facilitates introductions only

3. Our Role and Responsibilities

What we do:

• Provide a platform for connecting customers and vendors
• Screen vendors for basic qualifications and professionalism
• Facilitate initial introductions between parties
• Provide customer support for platform-related issues

What we do NOT do:

• Perform landscaping work directly
• Guarantee work quality, completion, or vendor performance
• Act as an agent for either customers or vendors
• Supervise, direct, or control vendor work
• Handle payments between customers and vendors (currently)

4. Customer Terms

By using our platform, customers agree to:

• Provide accurate information in quote requests
• Communicate respectfully with vendors
• Verify vendor licensing, insurance, and references independently
• Handle all contracts and payments directly with vendors
• Contact vendors first for work-related disputes
• Understand that GreenScape is not liable for vendor performance

5. Vendor Terms

By joining our platform, vendors agree to:

• Provide accurate business information and qualifications
• Maintain appropriate business insurance and licensing
• Contact customers promptly (within 24 hours of introduction)
• Provide professional, quality service
• Handle all customer communications professionally
• Pay marketplace fees as agreed (8% of completed project value)
• Remain independent contractors, not employees of GreenScape

Information we collect:

• We do NOT sell personal information to third parties

10. Termination

Either party may discontinue use of the platform at any time. GreenScape reserves the right to remove vendors or restrict access for violations of these terms, unprofessional conduct, or customer complaints.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
